Siliguri, 08th February: In a recent development, a young man accused of stealing expensive watches and cash from a residence has been arrested by the cops of Siliguri police station, before selling the stolen watches. The arrested accused has been identified as Saurabh Das, a resident of Rangapani area.
Reportedly, on February 2, the residence of a businessman was looted in the Subhash Pally area under the jurisdiction of the Siliguri police station. After the incident, a written complaint was filed at the police station. During the investigation, the Siliguri police station officials arrested Saurabh Das from the coal depot area on Wednesday.
Following the arrest, several expensive watches have been recovered from the accused. Sources revealed that the youth went to the coal depot area to sell the watches when he was apprehended. On Thursday, the arrested accused has been presented in Siliguri court.
