Bagdogra, 05th June: On Wednesday, the significant event of World Environment Day was observed in Bagdogra under the initiative of the Kurseong Forest Division.
Reportedly, a lamp-lighting ceremony graced by Kurseong Forest Division DFO Debesh Pandey was held at Bagdogra Bengdubi Guest House on this day. The event also witnessed the presence of Debashish Dutta, the acting registrar of North Bengal University. During the event, the DFO of Kurseong Forest Division spoke about protecting the environment and going greener. Additionally, a three-day sketching competition was held this time.
According to DFO Debesh Pandey, everyone must undertake necessary actions to safeguard the environment that sustains us. Eventually, he concluded by highlighting our responsibility towards the environment to prevent a global warming crisis in the future.
