Jalpaiguri, 18th October: A worker has been severely injured after being electrocuted while working on power lines. The injured individual has been identified as Naresh Roy (45), a resident of the Jalpaiguri Mandalghat area.
Reportedly, the incident occurred when Naresh and his colleagues were working to place a new power line in the Jalpaiguri College para area, this morning. His colleagues immediately closed the power line, tied a rope, and brought Naresh down with the help of the locals.
It has been learned that Naresh had been hanging on the wire for about 30 minutes. He was then admitted to Jalpaiguri Super Specialty Hospital. According to hospital sources, he is currently in critical condition.
