News Desk: The women’s reservation bill has been signed into law by President Droupadi Murmu. Reportedly, a gazette notification was issued by the Government of India after the bill received the approval of the President.
With the bill becoming an act, 33 percent of seats of Lok Sabha and state assemblies will be reserved for women. The implementation would possibly be after the new census and delimitation. It has to be noted that the bill was passed by the Lok Sabha and the Rajya Sabha in a special session of parliament this month.
