Siliguri, 03rd April: The Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman announced that women Jan Dhan account holders would get Rs 500 for three months as part of the coronavirus relief package.
The Indian Banks’ Association (IBA), on Friday, came out with a schedule to be followed by banks while depositing money into the Jan Dhan Yojana accounts of women. The amount will be disbursed into the accounts as per the last digit of the PMJDY account numbers of women.
Women PMJDY account holders having account number with last digit as 0 and 1 can withdraw on April 03, 2 and 3 last digit account holders can withdraw on April 04, 4 and 5 on April 7, 6 and 7 on April 8 and 8 and 9 on April 9.
In this context, one of Darjeeling District’s leading bank Manager Saroj Kumar Chhetri said that the customers will be able to withdraw the amount even after the allotted dates. He said that customers can withdraw money from any bank’s ATM using the card and that they will not be charged with additional fees.
