Alipurduar, 11th March: A woman worker was injured after being attacked by a leopard while working in the Tasati Tea Estate in Falakata on Tuesday. The incident triggered panic in the area adjacent to the tea garden. The injured worker has been identified as Dukhuni Munda.
According to reports, the woman was working alongside other workers in the tea garden on Tuesday morning when a leopard suddenly leapt out from the bushes and attacked her. She sustained injuries in the attack.
Hearing her screams, other workers rushed to the spot and rescued her. She was initially taken to the Tasati Tea Estate hospital and later referred to Birpara State General Hospital for further treatment.
