Cooch Behar, 21st November: Wild bison attack caused an atmosphere of panic in the Kuthi area of Dakshin Kalaray under Pundibari police station.
According to reports, a woman was severely injured in the bison attack. Subsequently, the injured woman was first taken to Pundibari Block Primary Health Center. Later, the woman was further transported to Cooch Behar.
Meanwhile, upon receiving the news, the forest department personnel and cops of Pundibari police station arrived at the spot and after relentless efforts, the forest personnel controlled the bison with a tranquilizer by afternoon. Forest department sources claimed that the animal would be released into the forest after mandatory examinations.
