Siliguri, 28th July: The SOG team busted the bike thief gang and arrested two of its members. The arrested accused have been identified as Anil Shah (25) and Rajesh Singha (26). SOG posed as a buyer and contacted the gang involved in illegal buying and selling of stolen bikes. The SOG team finalised a deal to catch them red-handed. After this the two members of the gang, Anil Shah and Rajesh Singha reached Matigara with two stolen bikes from Cooch Behar.
On reaching Matigara, the SOG team apprehended the duo and demanded the documents of the bikes. When they failed to do so, the youths were arrested by the team of SOG and were later handed over to the Matigara police station.
The two youths were presented before the Siliguri court on Thursday. They will be kept on police remand for further investigation.
