Alipurduar, 7th January: On Tuesday, the workers of the closed Madhu Tea Garden under Kalchini block were provided with winter garments and food. Alipurduar District Police Superintendent Nagendranath Tripathi, Chairman of the Refugee Resettlement Department Mridul Goswami, Latabari Rogi Kalyavan Samiti Chairman Asim Majumder, Additional Police Superintendent Kuntal Banerjee, Santali Gram Panchayat Pradhan Manoj Barua and many more dignitaries were present during the event.
Reportedly, blankets were distributed among 300 workers of the Madhu Tea Garden. Besides, meals were arranged for all the workers in the garden.
