Darjeeling, 29th June: Trinamool Congress candidate Binay Tamang emerged victorious in the GTA election from Darjeeling’s Rishihat-Bloomfield constituency.
Addressing the media after his victory, Tamang thanked all the people of the constituency for the victory. He also expressed his gratitude towards Chief Minister and Trinamool Congress supremo Mamata Banerjee and the party’s leaders for entrusting him.
Claiming that the victory was not only of the Rishihat-Bloomfield constituency but of the entire Hill, Terai and Dooars, Tamang said that his election manifesto was about land rights and that he would work for it with his full potential.
