Siliguri, 09th December: West Bengal Security Workers Union protested in front of the main gate of Siliguri Polytechnic College on Friday over several demands, including salary arrears.
The union protested alleging unpaid salaries for the last two months. Apart from this, they further alleged assurance from the administration that uniforms would be provided to them twice a year, but till now only one uniform has been given after joining. The union protested against all the said demands.
At the same time, a memorandum was also submitted to the principal of Siliguri Polytechnic College on behalf of the union. The protesting union members have threatened to launch a strong agitation if the said demands are not met by the 14th of December.
