Siliguri, 28th March: West Bengal’s Nandigram is witnessing a face-off between Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee and Union Home Minister and BJP leader Amit Shah as both the leaders will hold roadshows to woo the voters on the last day of campaigning.
Sparing no time, TMC supremo Mamata Banerjee lead a foot march in Bhagabeda of Nandigram at around 11 am today. She is contesting against Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) candidate and former Trinamool Congress (TMC) leader Suvendu Adhikari. Addressing the people, CM said that it is time to “drive BJP away for good from West Bengal.”
Meanwhile, BJP leader Amit Shah arrived in Nandigram this afternoon and was received by Suvendu Adhikari. He later held a roadshow in the assembly constituency with the party’s candidate. “Suvendu to win with huge margin in West Bengal,” Shah was quoted saying.
