Siliguri, 22nd March: A burst water pipe in the Amtala Pipe Line Road area of Ward No. 37 has left roads submerged, causing significant trouble for local residents.

As per reports, the pipeline had burst several days ago, but no repairs have been carried out yet. Due to the continuous waterlogging, residents are facing daily inconveniences, and frequent accidents are occurring due to potholes on the road.

Locals alleged that the pipeline has burst multiple times in the past. While the Municipal Corporation had fixed it earlier, the issue keeps recurring. Despite informing the Ward Councilor, no action has been taken so far.

In response, Ward Councilor Alok Bhakta stated over the phone that the matter has been reported to the Municipal Corporation and assured that the repair work would be carried out soon.
