Siliguri, 04th January: Nomination papers were submitted yesterday for the upcoming SMC election on January 22. Following this, all the parties have started campaigning.
Pinki Saha, the Trinamool candidate of Ward No. 39, carried out electioneering on Tuesday morning. She urged all to vote for her and said that she is optimistic about winning the election.
It is to be noted that a number of guidelines have already been issued by the State Election Commission in view of the rising COVID-19 cases. Five people will be allowed to go house-to-house for the election campaign. However, many supporters accompanied Saha today.
