Siliguri, 02nd June: An anti-drug campaign was carried out in Ward No. 05 of Siliguri on Tuesday under the leadership of Councillor Anita Mahato.
As part of the initiative, the councillor visited various parts of the ward along with personnel from Khalpara Outpost and central forces.
During the inspection, Anita Mahato delivered a strong message against drug-related activities and warned that illegal narcotics trade would not be tolerated in the area.
She stated that such drives would continue in the future to ensure the safety of local residents and maintain a healthy environment in the locality.
Police and security personnel also remained present during the campaign as authorities stepped up efforts against drug-related activities in the ward.
