Voting process hindered in Fulbari’s Changrabandha after miscreants spill water on ballot box

Rajganj, 08th July: An atmosphere of widespread tension was witnessed from booth number 307 under Fulbari Gram Panchayat-II as a group of miscreants poured water in two ballot boxes and dumped another in the woods in order to rig the election procedure. The incident took place in the Changrabandha Primary School located in Fulbari.


The Trinamool Congress (TMC) allegedly claimed that the act was carried out by a family member of the alliance candidate. According to reports, the election procedure was peacefully conducted when a voting box was abruptly removed from the booth and thrown into the field nearby by the miscreants in the afternoon. Meanwhile, two of the ballot boxes were doused in water. Consequently, the cops from the NJP police station arrived at the scene right away and the voting process has been suspended following the event.
