Voluntary blood donation camp organised at NJP railway station on GRPS initiative

Siliguri, 20th December: A voluntary blood donation camp was organised on Saturday on the initiative of NJP Government Railway Police (GRPS). The camp, titled “Utsarga”, was held at Platform Number 1 of NJP Railway Station under the joint auspices of NJP GRPS and the Lions Club.


A large number of officers and personnel from GRPS and the Railway Protection Force (RPF) participated in the camp. Senior officials, including Railway Police Superintendent Kunwar Bhushan Singh, RPF Inspector Mukesh Kumar Rajak, and GRP IC Pasang Rinzing Sherpa, were present at the event along with other police officers and staff.

Railway passengers and members of the general public also came forward enthusiastically to donate blood during the camp. Additionally, seven-year-old Kabyashree Chhetri, a resident of Matigara, was specially felicitated during the programme.
