Phansidewa, 28th March: A chaotic situation prevailed after a vehicle travelling from Siliguri to Islampur suddenly caught fire. Significantly, the driver of the vehicle managed to escaped.
Reportedly, on Thursday, a four-wheeler was on its way from Siliguri to Islampur when it caught fire near Bidhan Nagar. Promptly, the locals rushed to the rescue and attempted to douse the inferno. Meanwhile, the driver of the vehicle somehow saved his life by rushing out of the vehicle.
Upon receiving the news, the cops of Bidhan Nagar Investigation Center arrived at the spot. Simultaneously, a fire engine from the Matigara fire station reached and brought the situation under control. The incident led to severe traffic congestion in the area.
