Siliguri, 27th January: Various programmes were organized, today, on the Golden Jubilee of the Siliguri Deshbandhu Hindi High School. On this occasion, the Councillor of Ward No. 3 and Siliguri Municipal Corporation Deputy Mayor Ram Bhajan Mahato, Executive Committee President Manohar Singh, Head Teacher of the School Jai Kishore Pandey, school teachers, and many other guests were present.
The programme was inaugurated by garlanding a portrait of Chittaranjan Das and by lighting a lamp. This was followed by a welcome song by the school children. The founders and the former teachers of the school were felicitated during the program. A magazine called ‘Aviral’ was also published on behalf of the school. A cultural program was also organized during the occasion.
