Valentine’s Week: Siliguri filled with roses on Rose Day

Siliguri, 07th February: Valentine’s day which is celebrated on February 14, every year, is preceded by valentine’s week. Valentine’s week starts on February 7, which is celebrated as Rose Day all over the world.


On this day, people gift roses to their loved ones to express their feelings. A huge crowd was witnessed at the florist, today morning.


Although roses are of many colors, each color has its own significance. Yellow roses create warm feelings and provide happiness. Giving yellow roses can tell someone the joy they bring you and the friendship you share. White roses, the purist of colors, represent innocence, purity, and charm. White roses are traditionally used in weddings and can represent new beginnings. Red roses also stand for passion, true love, romance, and desire. The red rose is a classic “I Love You” rose, making it a popular choice for Valentine’s Day.

Sumon Saha, a florist, is hopeful that they will earn good profits this year as well.
