Siliguri, 03rd December: Alleging of conspiracy to sell the land of North Bengal University to a private company, Uttarbanga Vishwavidyalaya Bachao Manch has raised its voice.
Today, representatives of Uttarbanga Vishwavidyalaya Bachao Manch held a press conference at Siliguri Journalists Club. The president of the institution, Nikhilesh Roy said that a committee meeting of North Bengal University was held recently. During which, it was decided to sell a part of the land of North Bengal University to a private company. If any decision was taken, it should have been made public.
Firmly stating their stance against the privatization of the land of the North Bengal University he said that they will not allow the land to be sold under any circumstances and further warned to launch a massive agitation in the coming days.
