Siliguri, 14th August: Police recovered the body of an unidentified person from the Mahananda River near Porajhar Railway Bridge in Fulbari No. 1 area, on Saturday morning. The incident created a stir in the entire area.
It has been learned that the locals sighted the body floating in the river and informed the NJP police station. Upon receiving the news, the police reached the spot, recovered the body, and sent it to North Bengal Medical College and Hospital for an autopsy.
According to police sources, the deceased was around 32 years old. Police have started an investigation into the whole incident.
