Rajganj, 06th September: Sensation prevailed after the body of a man was found hanging from a noose, on Sunday night. The incident surfaced from the Purba Dhantala area of Fulbari 2 gram panchayat in Rajganj. The deceased has been identified as Dilip Biswas.
According to local sources, Biswas was a carpenter by profession. His wife Durga Biswas found his body hanging from a jackfruit tree in the yard. She said that Dilip had taken a loan of Rs 50,000 from a private company and was struggling to pay the instalments as he had no earnings amid the lockdown imposed due to the pandemic. This made him mentally depressed for the last few days.
Meanwhile, the NJP police reached the spot, recovered the body, and sent it to North Bengal Medical College and Hospital for autopsy. Police have started an investigation into the whole incident.
