Kharibari, 25th August: The Udaan Welfare Foundation organized a blood donation camp in Kharibari to address the issue of shortage of blood.
According to reports, the camp was held at the Adhikari Krishnakanta High School and facilitated with the support of social worker Bapan Das. The camp commenced early on Sunday morning, with several individuals volunteering to donate blood throughout the day. The event was attended by the Officer-in-Charge of Kharibari Police Station, Mantosh Sarkar. In addition to the blood donation camp, a tree-plantation drive was also carried out.
Social worker Bapan Das highlighted the importance of blood donation, calling it the greatest form of donation. The camp had successfully collected 30 units of blood by afternoon, which will be sent to the Blood Bank at North Bengal Medical College and Hospital (NBMCH).
