Two youths arrested in connection with Hanuman temple theft case in Siliguri

Siliguri, 24th February: Police have arrested two youths in connection with a theft at a Hanuman temple in Tumba Jote, Siliguri, where puja utensils and other items were stolen on 20th February.


Acting on a complaint from the temple committee, police launched an investigation and caught the two accused red-handed in Vishwas Colony while attempting to sell the stolen items. The arrested youths have been identified as Vishal Roy (18) and Swapan Saha (22), both residents of Kholai Bhaktari.

Stolen puja items have been recovered, and the accused have been produced in Siliguri court. Police continue their investigation into the case.
