Siliguri, 03rd October: Two individuals suffered significant injuries after being run over by a train while fighting near the railway tracks. The incident occurred near the Ram Bahadur railway line gate on Mallaguri Tea Auction Road.
According to local residents, the two men were inebriated and engaged in a heated argument when the Mahabodhi Express train approached. During the scuffle, they accidentally fell onto the tracks and were run over by the train’s rear carriage. Consequently, one man lost an arm while the other suffered a severe leg injury.
Subsequently, the authorities were alerted, and the Junction Town Government Railway Police (GRP) arrived at the scene. The two injured individuals were rescued and transported to a nearby hospital. The Junction Town GRP is currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident.
