Siliguri, 20th June: Roads of Siliguri’s Kawakhali have now become infamous for frequent accidents. Many people have lost their lives in a very short period of time due to multiple collisions. A traffic outpost was also recently installed to ensure the smooth flow of traffic and cut down on accidents.
Nonetheless, an accident was reported early this morning. A motorbike and a cycle collided head-on with each other injuring both the motorbiker and cyclist. The injured bike rider has been identified as Bui Chakraborty, a resident of Deshbandhupara, however, the identity of the cyclist was uncertain by the time the news was reported.
After the incident, the injured were rescued and sent to North Bengal Medical College and Hospital. Police stated that both the injured were under the influence of alcohol.
