Siliguri, 01st June: Ashighar Outpost police under Bhakti Nagar police station have arrested two youths, identified as Vishal Haldar (24) and Suman Das (18), for possession of stolen copper wires and a wire cutter.
Acting on a tip-off, police conducted a raid in the Ashighar area late Friday night, detaining the two suspects. During the search, officers recovered stolen copper wires and several iron parts from their bag, leading to their arrest.
On Saturday, the accused were presented before the Jalpaiguri court. The police are currently investigating the case.
