Siliguri, 28th February: Based on a tip-off, the Pradhan Nagar Police launched a campaign and arrested two people along with cannabis from the Siliguri Junction Bihar Bus Stand, on Thursday night. The arrested duo have been identified as Ranjit Chowdhury and Raju Chowdhury.
According to police sources, they received the news regarding the large consignment of cannabis which was being smuggled by two people near the Siliguri Junction Bihar Bus Stand. The Pradhan Nagar Police launched a covert operation and arrested the said duo. The police recovered a bag from their possession which contained 28 kgs of cannabis.
Meanwhile, the arrested duo was presented in the Siliguri Court, today. The police are currently investigating the incident.
