Rajganj, 26th July: The Trinamool Mahila Congress organized a tree plantation programme named ‘Samiana’ with an aim to plant 1 lakh saplings across the state.
As a part of the programme, the Dabgram Fulbari block TMC Mahila Congress planted trees at Fulbari Pather Sathi premises today. State Tourism Minister Goutam Deb inaugurated the event. Apart from tree plantation, around 2,000 saplings were distributed today.
In this regard, Minister Goutam Deb stated that the Trinamool Mahila Congress has taken an initiative to plant 1 lakh trees across the state through the ‘Samiana’ programme.
Apart from the Tourism Minister, Jalpaiguri District-In-Council member Debashish Pramanik, Gram Panchayat Pradhan Dilip Roy and other leaders of the Trinamool Mahila Congress were present during the programme.
