Tree plantation programme organized on the occasion of Hindi Day

Siliguri, 13th September: The Rotary Club of Siliguri Uttorayon organised a tree plantation programme on the auspicious occasion of Hindi Day which is observed on September 14. Reportedly, 60 trees were planted inside the Uttorayon Campus.


The club also felicitated few people who have contributed in the upliftment of Hindi language.

Club President Rtn Gopal Kayan, Secretary Rtn Ajay Gupta, Chairman Rtn K. K. Singh and other esteemed members graced the occasion. It has been learned that more than 250 trees have been planted in the past few days with an aim to save our environment and keep the city green. More such activities are likely to be implemented in the future.


Hindi Day is an annual day observed on 14 September at national level and in hindi speaking states of India to celebrate the adoption of Hindi as one of the two official languages of India.
