Fulbari, 16th June: A horrifying collision involving three vehicles near Fulbari Barrage on the Fulbari-Ghoshpukur bypass road has resulted in five injuries. The incident occurred on Sunday when a trailer traveling towards Fulbari collided with an e-rickshaw and a motorcycle.
Local sources reported that the e-rickshaw and two-wheeler were struck by a trailer, causing five, including the e-rickshaw driver and the bike rider, to sustain injuries. Locals rushed to the rescue and transported to a private hospital in Fulbari for medical treatment.
Reports suggest that the driver and assistant driver of the trailer were under the influence of alcohol at the time of the incident. Upon receiving the information, the law enforcement officials from the Fulbari Highway Traffic Guard and the New Jalpaiguri (NJP) police station swiftly arrived and arrested the driver and assistant driver of the trailer.
