Traffic Police conducts drive against illegal roadside parking in Siliguri, towed away several bikes

Siliguri, 01st September: Panitanki Traffic Guard has been conducting regular drives against traffic violations and illegal parking in the city since the inauguration of the parking facility at Siliguri’s Kanchenjunga Mela ground. On Tuesday, a drive was carried out against illegally parked bikes along Bidhan Road and in areas surrounding Bidhan Market.

During the drive, several bikes parked along the roadside in violation of traffic rules were towed away with the help of a crane. Fines were also imposed on bike owners and riders for violating traffic regulations.

Traffic personnel also conducted announcements through loudspeakers in different parts of Bidhan Market, urging people to follow traffic rules and park their vehicles only at designated locations.

According to traffic police, such drives will continue regularly to ensure smooth traffic movement and reduce inconvenience to the public. Strict action will also be taken against those who continue to violate traffic rules and park vehicles illegally along the roadside.
