Siliguri, 17th May: Siliguri’s NJP Railway Station, a prominent station in Northeast India, has taken a significant step towards improving the quality of services provided to tourists. In response to the large influx of domestic and international visitors, the Railway Department has launched a Tourist Help Center at the station, commencing its operations on Wednesday.
The inauguration ceremony of the Tourist Help Center was led by the leaders of the NJP branch of INTTUC. Sujay Sarkar, President of INTTUC Block-3, shed light on the driving force behind this initiative. He acknowledged the numerous complaints received regarding the challenges faced by tourists arriving from various parts of the country and abroad. In order to address these concerns, INTTUC proactively established the Tourist Help Center, staffed with 16 dedicated local youths who are always ready to assist tourists in need.
