Rajganj, 30th August: The Trinamool Congress Chhatra Parishad (TMCP) held a protest at Rajganj College on Friday, calling for the swift punishment of those involved in the R.G. Kar incident. The demonstration took place near the college gate as part of a broader state-wide movement. The Chief Minister had issued a directive for continuous protests across the state.
Following this directive, TMCP members and students from Rajganj College, along with participants from various other colleges, gathered to demand justice for the R.G. Kar case. They voiced their concerns and pressed for the accountability of those responsible for the incident.
Yasin Ali, a member of the TMCP at Rajganj College emphesized that they have been persistently advocating for the punishment of the guilty. He stated that although the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) is currently overseeing the case, no further arrests have been made. He added that the TMCP has vowed to continue their protests until the culprits are brought to justice.
