TMCP demonstrate in Siliguri Government Polytechnic demanding cancellation of new examination guidelines

Siliguri, 17th July: Trinamool Chhatra Parishad staged a sit-in protest demanding the cancellation of the new guidelines related to examinations at Siliguri Government Polytechnic. The students alleged that due to the complexity of the technology in the modern examination system, they would face difficulties while giving the examination. Therefore, they have demonstrated demanding the cancellation of these guidelines.

The activists further said that as per the new guidelines, the students are required to position a device (mobile phone/webcam) in such a way that the front camera captures them taking their online examination. However, the students alleged that due to the lockdown imposed after the COVID outbreak, several families of many students are facing financial crises. In such a situation, it is not possible for those students to take the exam using two mobile phones. In addition to this, several students also have to face trouble due to bad networks.

In this regard, Siliguri Town TMCP General Secretary Abhradeep Malakar said that the rules should be reconsidered and withdrawn. He alleged that the students will face difficulties in taking their tests due to the complexity of the examination system.
