Naxalbari, 25th August: In a significant development in the land-related case in Naxalbari, the elder brother of a TMC leader was arrested. Sushil Ghosh was apprehended for allegedly engaging in fraudulent land transactions and fabricating documents to extort large sums of money.
According to reports, Sushil Ghosh, the elder brother of vice-president of the Naxalbari Block TMC Sunil Ghosh, was initially arrested on December 17, 2022, for illegally selling a land in Barajharu Jote in Hatighisa. Despite being granted bail, the police continued to seek him in connection with several other land-related allegations.
On Saturday, Sushil Ghosh was re-arrested and has been presented in the Siliguri court later on Sunday. The police are engaged in further investigation of the entire case.
