Siliguri, 19th July: Trinamool Congress (TMC) workers and supporters from Siliguri have departed for Kolkata to attend the Martyrs’ Day program on July 21. Among those leaving were women and youth workers, as well as Darjeeling District TMC President Papiya Ghosh, who traveled by the Haldibari Superfast Express from NJP station on Friday.
The Siliguri Town Block 3 INTTUC New Jalpaiguri branch organized an aid center and provided tiffin for the participants. Darjeeling District TMC President Papiya Ghosh inaugurated the aid center. Many workers and supporters collected their tiffin and then left for Dharmatala in Kolkata.
Siliguri Municipal Corporation Deputy Mayor Ranjan Sarkar and other leaders were also present during the event.
