Siliguri, 12th April: Addressing a public meeting in Siliguri, BJP leader Mithun Chakraborty took a jibe at the Trinamool Congress (TMC) and said that the party has “come to do business.”
“The state has been opposing the central government for 34 years since the Left’s rule. For the past 10 years, Trinamool has been opposing the centre. What will happen to this state? Even if someone in the neighbourhood protests, he is isolated,” he stated.
It is to be noted that Mithun Chakraborty held a public meeting on Monday afternoon at the Matigara Mayadevi Club grounds to campaign for the BJP candidate. Addressing the public, he said, “Do not step into the politics of provocation. We don’t want any child to be taken away from their mother’s lap. We will not win by lying. BJP will come to power.”
Trinamool had promised that if they win the assembly election, ration will be delivered to people’s doorstep. In view of this, Mithun Chakraborty said “TMC is giving lollipop to people. This party is here to do business and not politics.”
