Rajganj, 09th April: A moment of political courtesy was witnessed during the election campaign in Rajganj as Trinamool Congress candidate Swapna Barman exchanged greetings with a BJP panchayat member, highlighting a rare display of camaraderie amid poll fervour.
On Thursday, while campaigning in the Rajganj Assembly constituency, Barman met BJP panchayat member Babita Mondal. Despite political differences, the two shared a warm interaction and embraced each other, exchanging greetings in a cordial atmosphere.
Continuing her daily campaign, Barman visited various gram panchayat areas across the constituency. As part of the outreach, she reached the Selterbari area under Binnaguri Gram Panchayat, where she interacted with residents, listened to their concerns, and addressed local issues alongside party workers and supporters.
It was during this visit that she encountered Babita Mondal. Their friendly exchange and mutual respect stood out, reflecting a spirit of democratic civility despite intense electoral competition.
