TMC and BJP candidates conduct intensive campaigning ahead of Lok Sabha elections in Alipurduar

Alipurduar, April 14: The political campaigning in the Alipurduar district has gained significant momentum with just a few days left for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections on April 19. Trinamool Congress (TMC) candidate Prakash Chik Baraik and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidate Manoj Tigga are vigorously engaging in campaign activities.


Reportedly, during the final phase of campaigning, both TMC and BJP candidates are emphasizing their efforts in the tea-related promotions. Tea workers are being actively engaged to garner support. From Sunday morning, Prakash Chik Baraik and Manoj Tigga have been promoting their campaigns at various tea estates.

In this regard, BJP candidate Manoj Tigga highlighted the challenges faced by tea workers, stating that despite their hard work, they are not receiving adequate wages. He also discussed the upcoming Ram Navami festival and urged workers to consider how they will celebrate the occasion while raising concerns about their rights and benefits.


On the other hand, TMC candidate Prakash Chik Baraik emphasized the government’s initiatives for tea workers and pledged to address their concerns effectively. He emphasized the need to highlight these issues during the campaign to ensure the welfare of tea workers.
