Cooch Behar, 19th April: Trinamool Congress (TMC) has been accused of assaulting a Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) worker of Deocharai area in Tufanganj on the day of voting for the first phase of Lok Sabha elections. The injured BJP worker, identified as Kartik Barman, is currently undergoing treatment at the Tufanganj Sub-divisional Hospital.
As per reports, on Friday morning, a few miscreants entered the house and allegedly assaulted the BJP worker. Subsequently, when Barman’s mother and wife attempted to defend him, they were also allegedly assaulted.
