Siliguri, 23rd April: A day earlier the wedding, heavy rainfall, and a massive thunderstorm had crushed the house of Baidyanath Roy, a resident of Jamuribhita of Fulbari 1-gram panchayat.
As per our sources, Roy’s daughter Sangeeta Roy was to get married on Friday. The family arranged the wedding with the help of close aides. But due to the tragic accident, the relatives who came to their house to attend the wedding were also injured. Various items in the house have also been destroyed. As the family does not have money to repair the house, they had appealed all for help.
As the news surfaced, several people extended a helping hand to the family. Later, Trinamool candidate Goutam Deb from the Dabgram-Fulbari assembly constituency visited the said family and blessed the bride. He further assured that he will aid the family as soon as the elections are over.
