Three sealed ballot boxes found in counting centre in Malda

On Tuesday, three sealed ballot boxes that were used in the recently concluded Panchayat election in the state were discovered in a classroom of a high school situated in Malda district. These sealed ballot boxes were reportedly used during the re-poll that took place on July 10. The decision to conduct the re-polling was made following the Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) claim of missing ballot boxes used on July 8 in the booths of a Panchayat located in the Gazole block of the district.
