Siliguri, 23rd October: In a swift operation, the under cover cops of the Bhakti Nagar police station successfully foiled a planned robbery, arresting three suspected gang members from the PC Mittal bus stand area. The arrested individuals have been identified as Prem Roy, Rahul Ahuja, and Sumit Das. The police also recovered sharp weapons from the suspects during the operation.
Reportedly, on Tuesday night, the police received a tip-off information that a group of miscreants had gathered with intentions to commit a major crime in the Sevoke Road area. Officers immediately launched an operation, capturing three suspects, while several others managed to flee the scene.
According to police sources, the arrested individuals have previous criminal records, including involvement in theft and other illegal activities. The suspects were produced in Jalpaiguri court on Wednesday. Meanwhile, investigations are underway as police search for the remaining members of the gang.
