Siliguri, 22nd March: Police from NJP Police Station arrested three individuals on Saturday night in the Central Colony area of Siliguri for allegedly gathering with the intent to commit robbery. The arrested accused have been identified as Bikash Sarkar, Akhil Sarkar, and Makhan Bhakta.
According to police sources, a group of around 8-10 individuals had gathered in the Central Colony area with the intention of committing a robbery. Acting on a tip-off, police conducted a swift raid at the location. While several members of the group managed to flee upon noticing the police, three individuals were apprehended on the spot.
The arrested accused were produced before the Jalpaiguri Court on Sunday. Police have initiated a detailed investigation into the entire incident.
