Rajganj, 03rd June: In a devastating incident, three houses belonging to the same family were reduced to ashes due to a fire in 9 No. Colony area near Ambari of Rajganj block. All household items and important documents were destroyed in the blaze. Rajganj MLA Khageswar Roy visited the site on Monday and promised support to the affected family.
Reportedly, fire broke out suddenly on Sunday night at the residence of Rajib Roy. Despite initial efforts by local residents to control the fire, it wasn’t until a fire engine from Fulbari arrived that the flames were extinguished.
Rajib Roy stated that everything, including land papers, important documents, gold, and about 1.25 lakh rupees recently withdrawn from the bank, was completely destroyed. Roy, who supports his family through labor work, expressed his devastation at the total loss.
MLA Khageswar Roy, upon assessing the damage, noted the total destruction of the family’s possessions. He added that several tarpaulins have been handed over to the family. Further, he assured that all possible government assistance would be provided to the family.
