Rajganj, 28th December: The third annual conference of the Jalpaiguri District Committee of Rural Medical Practitioners Association was held at Hari Mandir in Belakoba, on Tuesday. A rally was also organized before the conference.
Ananda Mandal, state president of the organization, said that training arrangements were made by the government for the rural doctors but unfortunately, it could not be completed. Apart from imparting training through today’s conference, demands were made for government recognition of rural doctors and giving them priority in health department recruitment.
Padma Shri Karimul Haque said that rural doctors worked as frontline workers amid the pandemic. We want government recognition for them.
