Thieves break into a vacant residence in Fulbari, steal cash and gold jewellery

Fulbari, 24th February: An incident of theft occurred in the Rajiv Nagar area under the Fulbari-II Gram Panchayat, where the thieves broke into a vacant residence and made off with valuables such as a gold chain, a ring along with cash worth Rs 35,000.


According to reports, the theft occurred at around 7 PM on Friday evening at the residence of Sudip Das who lived with his mother Shivani Das in Rajiv Nagar. However, for the past few days, Sudip Das had been living alone in the house after his mother had left for her relative’s place. On Friday morning, Sudip had locked the house and left for work. Subsequently, when he returned in the evening, he spotted that the lock of the house was broken and the household items were scattered. Additionally, a gold chain and ring along with cash worth Rs 35,000 were stolen.

In this regard, Sudip Das stated that he learned about the theft when he returned home in the evening. He further mentioned that the gold ornaments were stolen along with cash. The entire incident was reported to the police and the case is under further investigation.
