Fulbari, 27th December: In a shocking theft incident, a thief locked a house door from the outside and stole an e-rickshaw (toto) before fleeing the scene. The incident occurred in the Jorpokhri area of Fulbari II Gram Panchayat and was captured on CCTV, showing the thief stealing the vehicle and driving away.
As per reports, Mohammad Kalam, a resident of Jorpokhri near Fulbari’s Bhalo Basha More, makes a living by driving his e-rickshaw. On Thursday night, Kalam put his toto on charge and went to bed. He woke up around 3:30 a.m. and noticed the vehicle was still in the yard, but upon waking in the morning, he found the door of his house would not open.
Hearing his cries for help, neighbours arrived and managed to unlock the door. Once outside, Kalam discovered that the e-rickshaw was missing. He has since filed a written complaint with the NJP police station, and authorities have begun investigating the case.
